Dear Blog Buddies,
No! Neither have I been kidnapped by Himesh to sing playback for him nor am I on a honeymoon trip with Katrina. [I wish I the latter was true]
Of course! I haven’t forgotten you guys. The big bad world out there is trying its best to make that happen. I was even offered zillions of Zimbabwean dollars to elope onto a honeymoon trip with cute Kati[obsession is a virtue I excel at] but maine bhi RGV ki Aag pe haath rakh kar pratigya li ki I will not be tempted by such lucrative offers. Bottom-line, I haven’t forgotten you guys. There are innumerable occasions when my mind wanders into the blog word while listening to a professor who is trying his best to infuse the concepts of macro economics into my small and innocent brain. Bachhe ki jaan lene ki yahan puri koshish hoti hai :(
I often wonder what you guys would be upto. I often wonder how Tinns would be managing all by herself in Chennai. Or whether HP too would be enjoying the C&H strip that I am having a laugh about. What pagalpanti the sarcasm king Abhinav might be upto. What would Shatab be doing in her new city. What would the Bhai be offering at her Bar. What new place or food item would Pizzadude be at. How would Shub’s training for the 42 be going on. How old might Santa’s Ruffie be. What new weekend trip would Nids be planning. What new laws would Madsie be learning. When would Farah be writing another spell-binding story. What innovative ways might Chrizzy be inventing for making the world laugh and smile. Who would be Keshi’s new crush. What awesomely clever PJ would Stupid be upto. What architectural masterpiece would Ceedy be handling. What beautiful poetry would our Dr. Pri be weaving. What new pagalpanti would Ms. Kido be upto. When would Kanan be planning her next trip to India. What lovely quatrains would Joie be penning down. Wondering what next movie review would Rakesh do. What PJs would Mr. Sarath be cooking up in his hostel. What would Vands's new photography series be. When would the Bhai be serving us another cup of Chai. Or simple go crazy thinking as to what spam comment would Anonymous be posting on my blog ;)
[There are a lot of people I have met on the blog journey. Above, I have just mentioned a few of my pehle pehle blog buddies. Agar kisika naam chuk jaane ki gustakhi hui ho, toh bande ko maaf kar dena. Also, I am sorry for not having replied to comments on the blog. And here's a big giant frantic waving Hi! to people who have taken the trouble of following this blog. I hope this post explains things to you guys and you don't remain mad with me. Iss post ke baad bhi gussa rahe toh sab ke liye do-do khoke Alphonso mangoes ke ready rakhe hai :P]
Yes! I have been
a bit busy caught up with things these days. Not that I do not get time at all but the problem is that blogging does take up a fair amount of time. Because it is addictive. Because it is never about your own blog. But rather about your blog, and your friends’ blogs, and friends’ of friends' blogs, and the comments on your blog, and the comments on your friends’ blogs, and the comments on friends’ of friends' blogs. And sadly I have not been able to enjoy this luxury during my stint at MBA :(
However! The past 6 months here have been an awesome experience. This place has been amazing. This is a place where students live by the mantra ‘Work hard, party harder’. There are innumerable days when the mind and body are stretched beyond limits. Each day is a day when you challenge yourself, stretch yourself, to explore new dimensions, to discover yourself. A place where you can sleep all night, not study for the examination, and still do better than the dude who was up all night preparing for the examination :D A place where skill, aptitude and, most importantly, common sense matter. A place which knows how to party - may it be the Diwali celebrations, its annual fest, or the JLTs that go well beyond the first rays of dawn... I always wanted to pursue a 2 year full time MBA. I am glad I did not compromise on that. Anyways, mere baare mein bahot baatein ho gayi. Baaki baatein nichhu diye hue IDs pe kar sakte hain:
Well, I have put up the LinkedIn ID just to sound professional enough and not come across as a kool duud who is vhary vhary frandlie and wants to do frands with hot guys and smart girls [Did I misplace the adjectives ;)] Just to let you know that I have not been and may not be very active [After all, the ‘Photos of Me’ have outnumbered ‘Photos by Me’] on these forums but I would certainly love to know what is going on in your lives when I login into any of them :) And I would most definitely jump at the opportunity of being able to meet anyone of you. [Proof here]
Chalo toh bhidu log, abhi ke liye apun tata bye-bye karta hai. And as 2010 begins, here’s me wishing you all a very Happy Yappy New Year. And here’s my lil message:
Do not be always stressed out working for the trivial things in life: For a hefty increment, for clinching that all-important deal, for a six-figure salary, for a corner office.
Do take out time for the more important things in life: Laugh. Smile. Act crazy [It helps maintain the balance in life]. Tell people that you love them. And that you care. Show them you will always be by their side. Keep your surroundings clean. Be responsible citizens. Do not take things for granted. Appreciate. Thank. Enjoy your cup of tea. Have a cup of coffee with your friends. Look at the sky once in a while. Catch a cold in the rain. Go on a long drive. Sleep like a baby. Sing. Dance. Express. Enjoy the present. Dream. Live.
PS: 3 Idiots dekha kya mamu? Nahi dekha toh Go! Watch it with your idiots :)
Truly yours [always],
